AUTHOR'S PURPOSE
Why This Story Was Written
My daughter and I are writing a book series together. Her first book introduces Elizabeth, her love of the ocean, and her adoption of a hammerhead shark. The theme she envisions is a deviation from my usual topics. I like branching out into the unfamiliar, experimenting with different subjects that will resonate with diverse audiences. I am intrigued by the symbolism and the way she uses her shark to represent hidden feelings. I love stories that look simple on the surface but hold a deeper meaning underneath. Someday, I hope to write something with a twist ending that shocks even the most sophisticated reader.
